32 Best Workout Apps, According To Top Trainers Sweat. It. Out.

Pilates Anytime

If you're super into all forms of Pilates, this is your app. "They have the broadest spectrum of Pilates styles from New York, Classical, West Coast, Santa Fe, and Contemporary, or fitness-focused Pilates," says Juliet Kaska, ACE and NASM-certified personal trainer and Vionic Innovation Lab member. Also, if you're in the mood for a high-energy cardio class, the app also offers barre-Pilates fusion fitness challenges. And you can download these workouts and cue them up anywhere. "There are over 3,400 videos on all levels, all styles and on all equipment including an extensive library of zero-equipment Pilates workouts," Kaska adds, which is great if you're someplace like a hotel room and don't have access to a machine or mat.

RunKeeper

This free app is a running tracker and GPS all in one. "It stores all of my routes (a map and all), my time, speed, and splits. Plus, there is a journal and photo option where I will drop notes for myself so I can see patterns in my performance," Kaska says.

It'll clue you in on your pacing and progress without breaking your concentration, and the best part is that you don't even need to have your phone with you on the run (which is a blessing when you don't have leggings with pockets). "It syncs with the Apple Watch and lets you hear audio cues from the app, which is very helpful as I'm going along and don't want to bother with looking down," Kaska says. Basically, it's the perfect solution to keeping you in the zone.
